Biography

Jonathan Guevara, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and open surgery of all shoulder and elbow conditions. He strives to develop strong partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible results. He treats both adult and pediatric patients.

A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Guevara completed medical school at The University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio, and orthopedic residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri. He then furthered his training and completed a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

He has a special interest in all aspects of shoulder and elbow conditions including tendon disorders and injuries including arthritis, birth and obstetric related injuries, fractures, dislocations, separations, sports injuries, instability and trauma. He is particularly interested in the complex problems encountered in shoulder and elbow surgery including failed prior surgeries, dysplasia, overhead athletes, irreparable tendons, bone loss and infections.
